Do you want it badly enough

Hello precious children,

Have I told you how much I love you and how special you are in my life. Easter was such a lovely time for me having almost everyone there, minus Mark and Jo. I just thought everything was so great. The children were all amazing and well behaved, I enjoyed them a lot. there is nothing better for me that being with my family.

i have been pondering what to say this week, and I was quite impressed with a phrase that Bishop Dunstall quoted in a class this week. He said that if you want to have eternal life you can have it it, you do not want something more. that is so profound. We can liken it to anything, for example if I really want to lose weight I can have it if I do not want something else more. We can liken it to anything in our lives. how much do we want something. when Mark wanted to be a teacher he wanted it more than anything at that moment and he got it. what a good example he is of reaching goals/ So really we each can do anything if we want it badly enough.

Life is so fleeting and our family knows that better than most. Today is all we have and the Lord expects us to make the most of it, now not later, say I love you now, do a little kindness now because he knows when it will be our last, not to be morbid but just encourage us to be the best we can be now.

You are all amazing in your own way and that is a another thing we need to do acknowledge each others strenghs and minimize our weakness. We are Puddicombes and should always be striving to keep it a name to be proud of. Also remember what does the Lord expect of us since we also took upon us the name of our Savior. May we all raise the bar, love each other , love life and remember if we want it badly enough we can get it.

Please remember that it is Becky's birthday this week on the 5. Hope it is a special day for you because you are indeed a very special girl.

Hello all my precious children,

Becky set up this blog for me and asked if I would write some words of wisdom, don't laugh, I might have some. I have been thinking for some time how important the temple should be in our lives ' and for most of us it is not. I have been reading this wonderful book called "temple Worship", and I would like to share some wisdom from it. First of the the purpose for which temples are constructed is also the same purpose for which the earth was created, and that is to establishing and nurturing families. Life can get so hectic sometimes and we let our priorities get confused but we need to realize that is important to get them in the right order. Pres. Hinkley said, " we are living in a very difficult season in the history of the world. Standards are dropping everywhere. Nothing seems to be sacred anymore... the family appears to be falling apart. the traditional family is under attack I do not know that things were worse in Sodom and Gomorrah. Notwithstanding things were so bad that Jehovah decreed their destruction. We see similar conditions today. I think our Father must weep as he looks down on his wayward sons and daughters.

Our only hope, and rescues in the poison and downward spiral of the world is n the word of the Lord and in the sealing power of the priesthood found in the Lords temple". the temple is a symbol of our commitment to the Father and the Son. Again quoting Pres Hinkley, "The Lord would be pleased if every adult member of the church would be worthy and carry a current temple recommend. In a way they could be considered meaningful "dress rehearsals" for that grand colloquy when you stand before the Great Judge."

May each of us make a commitment to visit the temple more often and especially go as a family once a month. It is my strongest desire for each of my children to love the Lord ad serve him to the best of his or her ability. Always remember that I love you all so much. You have enriched my life in so many ways. Please keep coming to see us and keep the phone calls coming they are an important part of my life.
